ZS1EL VIP Paddle
After chatting with Vid ZS1EL and having a look at the stunning Iambic Paddles
he is manufacturing and selling for such a low price, I decided to advertise them
here and possibly help grow the market for him as well as do my bit to grow the
interest in CW in South Africa.
The bases are manufactured from steel flatbar and
the paddles from coloured Perspex with the contactors and center post being
heavy duty relay contacts and brass. The connectors are stereo Sub-Mini sockets.
The adjustments are made simply with one setting adjusting both paddles
simultaneously. Various colours can be ordered and the pricing is just right for
our local market. The colours available are Red, Black, Blue, Yellow, Green,
White and Transparent. Vidi can be contacted directly on e-Mail at

Received my paddle yesterday and I'm very happy with it. It does not move around
on the desk at all and
there was no need for any adjustment. It will go very nicely with my Norcal
project, thank you very much.

Conclusion - In application the VIP stood it's own ground against the Bencher
and at the low price tag it is excellent value for money - leave your expensive
key at home and take the VIP onto you next field/portable day trip! My Bencher
is now put away on a shelf !

Well Guys and Gals, I am the barer of good news
regarding the production of the VIP Paddle from OM Vidi, he tells me that he is
in communication with Elecraft to distribute the VIP around the world. This is
still only in discussion and Wayne is away on summer holiday so it will take
some time. Visi also tells me that he has completed another 20 units so if you
were waiting for your VIP I am sure its on the way now.
Vidi has also sent me some comments and
feedback from various users to post here and I am proud to do so on his behalf.
